Cube GPS FAQ

Answers for pairing your Cube GPS, managing data plans, checking location history, troubleshooting updates, and getting help from Cube support.

Before you start

Most setup questions come down to three things.

Pair the tracker

Use the Cube Tracker app to add the device and scan the barcode on the tracker.

Activate a plan

GPS tracking needs an active data plan for each tracker you want to use.

Check the app

Manage location history, coordinates, sharing, alerts, and plan settings from the app.

Setup

Setup and pairing

How do I pair a Cube GPS?

Open the Cube Tracker app and log in or create an account.

  1. Tap the Add a device button.
  2. Select Cube GPS from the list of devices.
  3. Scan the barcode on the back of your Cube GPS tracker.
  4. Hold the button on the back of your tracker for 5 seconds.

Your GPS tracker is now paired to your account. Add a data plan in the app to begin GPS tracking.

Where do I download the Cube Tracker app?

Download the Cube Tracker app from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store, then create an account or log in to pair and manage your devices.

Can I pair more than one Cube GPS to my account?

Yes. You can add multiple Cube GPS trackers to the Cube Tracker app. Each tracker will appear as its own device and needs its own active plan if you want GPS tracking enabled.

Plans

Plans and subscriptions

How do I add, cancel, or change my GPS subscription plan?

Log in to your Cube Tracker account in the mobile app, tap the GPS tracker you want to manage, tap the gear icon in the top right, then select Data Plan and choose the plan you want.

Each tracker needs its own subscription plan, just like a cell phone.

Can I use my own data plan or SIM card with Cube GPS?

No. Cube GPS tracking is a bundled service purchased inside the Cube Tracker app. It includes SIM card data and location services. You can start or stop service from the app settings.

Does each Cube GPS need its own plan?

Yes. Each GPS tracker needs its own active data plan because each device uses its own cellular connection for GPS tracking.

Tracking

Tracking and app features

Can I see GPS coordinates?

Yes. Open the Cube Tracker app, tap the menu, scroll until you see Location History with Coordinates, and turn it on. Coordinates will be visible when you check location history for your GPS devices.

How do geofence alerts work?

Geofence alerts let you create a saved area in the Cube Tracker app. You can receive notifications when a tracker enters or leaves that area.

Can I share a Cube GPS with another person?

Yes. Use the device sharing tools in the Cube Tracker app to give another trusted person access to the tracker.

Troubleshooting

Troubleshooting

How do I fix "Your Cube Tracker is linked to another account"?

If you set up one account with email and another with Apple ID or Facebook, those can be separate accounts. Remove the Cube GPS from the original account before adding it to a new account.

Why has my GPS location not updated?

If the GPS tracker does not detect movement, its location may update less often until movement is detected. Signal, battery level, placement, and plan status can also affect updates.

What should I check if the tracker is not showing correctly?

Confirm the tracker is charged, paired to the account you are using, on an active data plan, and placed where it can receive GPS and cellular signal. If it still does not update, contact Cube support.
