How Cube Bluetooth works
Cube Bluetooth trackers are designed for keys, bags, wallets, remotes, nearby pets, and everyday items that are usually close to your phone.
Use the app to make your Cube ring when it is within Bluetooth range.
Use the map to see where your Cube was last connected to your phone.
Location, Bluetooth, and background access keep the core finding features working.
Finding items
You can use your Cube to find your phone, even if it is on silent. Make sure the Cube Tracker app is allowed to run in the background and that your phone is in range of your Cube. Quickly double press the Cube button to make your phone ring.
Cube is a good fit for nearby pet-finding situations around the home or property, like a pet hiding under furniture or nearby outside. Cube Bluetooth trackers are not GPS trackers, so they are not designed for real-time long-distance pet tracking.
Compatibility
No. Cube Bluetooth trackers use Bluetooth to connect to your mobile device. Once connected, Cube relies on your phone's location services to update last known location in the Cube Tracker app.
The Cube itself does not use GPS and cannot track moving objects in real time unless a device with location services is nearby and moving with it.
Cube uses Bluetooth technology to help locate nearby items. Bluetooth range can reach up to 200 feet depending on the environment, but it is most effective at shorter ranges.
Devices without Bluetooth 4.0 or BLE will not work because they cannot communicate with Cube hardware or the Cube Tracker app.
Devices running beta iOS or Android operating systems may experience technical issues. The app is intended for mobile devices running full public-release versions of iOS or Android.
